My Relationship Has Hit a Drought

There is much talk in the media these days, about people suffering under the drought currently affecting Australia.

The stress and the despair felt by farmers and their families is something with which we can all emphasise. What we may not so easily understand, is that relationships may also go through something akin to a drought.

When you first become a couple, you want to spend lots of time together. The ‘river of love’ flows continuously and easily. As time goes by, life becomes routine and partner’s acts of love and needs may get ignored or taken for granted. That easy flow of love and affection dries up through neglect and indifference. Relationships need work to succeed! Everyday you need to do or
say something to keep them growing and healthy. To use the farming analogy, you will only reap not only what you sow, but also what you nourish and water.

Every relationship or marriage will hit a dry phase at some time. Maybe you are too busy with the kids to have quality time together, or perhaps work and career is in the forefront of your mind.

Whatever the reason, your partner is feeling neglected and love is slowly drying up day by day. Don’t let your relationship hit a drought! Find the time to revisit that river and replenish and rekindle, your love for each other.

Carole does not take sides and her ability to provide perspective based on her wealth of experience was very helpful.

The exercises were very practical and really helped us to understand where we fail to communicate effectively or assume too much.

The conflict resolution list is very useful and anyone who masters this will experience a lot more peace in their relationship.

Thank you Carole.

It is early in the process but we both have optimism about our future together and our progress so far has been substantial.

Thanks Carole.

We are going real well, probably better than we ever expected.

I personally thank you for making such a difference to my life and I know (S) feels the same.

Your workshop was great for us and was what we needed to make a fresh start and turn our relationship around.

We'd recommend your workshop to any couple who are in trouble and want to rekindle their love!

Thanks again Carole

Don’t let 2018 end in Divorce

January is the month that most divorce applications are filed. Many unhappy couples stay together over Xmas to avoid disrupting families or because holiday plans have been made.
